On October 17th 2009, the University of New South Wales (UNSW) conferred the first ever Degree of Doctor of Engineering (honoris causa) upon Professor Dr. Sitthichai Pookaiyaudom for his eminent contribution to academia, technological advancement and social benefits, during the 60th year celebration of UNSW in Beijing, China. This is the University’s highest honour.
